Customs Regulations in Mexico
Mexico borders

Going through customs in Mexico takes a push of a button. You will submit your custom declaration form to the customs officers and have your bags checked through an x-ray machine. After going through this check, you will be asked to push a button.

If you're lucky, and the light turns green, you may go. However, if the light turns red, a customs official will hand search your bag to make sure that you are not bringing anything into the country that is illegal.

Regardless, if you haven't brought anything illegal, there is nothing to fear- even when the light turns red. After this process, you are free to go and to enjoy your holiday in Playa del Carmen.
