From the Cozumel airport, you can get to Playa del Carmen via air-conditioned passenger ferries servicing the Cozumel – Playa del Carmen route. The ferry usually leaves every hour, on the hour starting from 8:00 a.m. and until 8:00 p.m., with some exceptions. The trip takes 30 to 45 minutes. You can get tickets before you embark.

If you have a car in Cozumel, there is also a car ferry in the Calica pier, south of Playacar.
