The area west of La Quinta is more of the residential part of Playa del Carmen, but it also has some hotels and restaurants. Here, you will also find two large grocery stores (Super Maz and San Francisco).

This is not as picturesque as the rest of Playa del Carmen but it shows you more of the locals and their day-to-day life.
